Previously, jwcooley and I have done something called a "game club" where we pick a game and then play it at roughly the same time, kinda like a book club. It provided the necessary motivation to actually finish a game (which is sometimes difficult for me!) and was nice to be able to talk about it with someone that's currently playing it. I might be forgetting some, but we played these games: Dante's Inferno, Unreal, Kirby's Dream Land 1 and 2.

Soooo....is anyone interested in doing this across the Completionator community? Post in here if you are! If it's just me and jwcooley, I think I'll nominate Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning :P

I'm interested for sure. I'm out of the country starting tomorrow, but I'm game for starting when I get back.

I'm doing this exact thing with some friends right now. Only at the end of the month, we do a podcast and talk about it. Our first one will be recorded this Thursday.

I'm always up for even more game playing. For me though, its PC only. The newest console I own is a SNES, haha.

I'm attempting to get through Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain if ANYBODY wants to attempt to go through it. :)

I had started working on a feature that would incorporate the Game Club idea directly into the site. However, I've had a bit of scope creep so it's going to take a bit more time to build. It probably won't make it in before my stay-cation :(

Mike and Cooley, I have an idea for our next game night. I have been playing through punch-out on Wii, as I am determined to beat Mr. Dream. That would be a great game to play like we did with mega man. Beat a boxer then pass the controller. It is a very fast play, for at least the first 8 boxers or so.

I love the Punch-Out idea. Like I told you before, I was able to beat Mr. Dream by just doing the practice mode for like an hour and then I rolled him.

I'm in. I think with some alcohol mixed in, and the wii-mote strapped on TIGHT, I'm sure we can do some damage.

Yeah, if we are going to be drink we definitely need to strap on the wii mote, or said damage will be to Mike's TV.

Friday sounds good to me. I think Punch-Out sounds fun. I pulled out a few other tough games that could be fun in a "pass the controller around" kinda way:

• Donkey Kong Country Returns
• Maximo: Ghosts to Glory
• Darius Gaiden
• Contra: Shattered Soldier
• Mega Man 1-8
• Alien Syndrome (not sure if this is hard, but it's a 4 player arcade / RPG kinda game that I've never played)

Careful there Mike. The last time we pulled out a Megaman game, we broke hearts minds and spirits.

I think when we do this again, we should attempt to play and beat Contra. Also, I'd like to try Alien Syndrome

Alien Syndrome could be fun. I looked it up on youtube and it looks like a good multiplayer game.
