To keep down on duplicates and still keep track of what games I have on what platforms, I've simply created a single entry and tagged it with a tag to a corresponding Console/launcher/etc. So, I may have a game added as a Steam game with a "Steam" tag, but then I acquire it as a free game via Epic, I just add the "Epic" tag to that Steam entry. However, I would like to be able to look at all of my games with say a "Epic" tag, and filter out any that also have a "Steam" tag for example. Currently, I only see a way to filter out whether it has any tag or no tag at all, but it would be nice to filter specific tags. I'm sure others may find it useful to look at their collection and filter out anything with an "FPS" tag or something when trying to decide what to play. Thank you! |

Hopefully I'm reading this correctly, and I might not be due to lack of sleep, so forgive me if this isn't helpful. In addition to the "yes/no tags" option there is also text box at the top left of the Filters drop-down that allows you to filter your collection by specific tags. So you could use it to show all of your Epic games. Though you wouldn't be able to show only Epic tagged games that are missing a Steam tag as it lacks an exclusionary option for specific tags. You could filter by games that only have both Epic and Steam tags though.

What I was suggesting would be some form of exclusionary option for specific tags, or even other things such as genres as well. I was working on reinstalling various games on my newer PC rig and I try to prioritize using Steam whenever possible. So, whenever trying to decide which Epic games I was going to install, I was hoping to filter out any games that could be installed via Steam instead. It would have been a useful feature for my potentially niche purpose, but I thought that others may find it useful for other purposes. A means to filter out certain tags, genres, platforms, etc, would be something potentially useful for users. |
