The same options from last time!

We're going to go with Arcade Racing Games, but it's a huuuuuge category, so I'm trying to finalize a list. It's gonna be a big one haha!

Nice! Finally an excuse for me to finish Road Rash and Outrun, if they make the list.

I'm actually not sure what qualifies as an arcade racing game, now that I think of it. Is it just any non-sim racing game? Are Kart racers in there? Games like F-Zero? I'm curious and excited to see what makes the list!

When I first added the bounty option, I had kind of assumed it would be purely arcade-based games, so Daytona USA, Ridge Racer, etc. But that would leave out all sorts of great games that were exclusively released for home consoles. Plus, games that were only released in arcades (and aren't part of a home compilation) are tough since they're not readily accessible for most.

The more I thought about it (and the more research I did), I came to the conclusion that for the purposes of this bounty theme, an "arcade racing game" is simply a racing game without an emphasis on simulation aspects. That opened the door to A LOT of options and it was very difficult to choose the options. I have the theme running for two months, so if I think about it, I'll swap out the ones nobody is going to play for some other options once we get to June.

The list I came up with has some bigger franchises in it, but I tried to have some variety with types of racing (i.e. not just cars, but also motorcycles, snowmobiles, weird creatures without arms or legs, etc.) I left many large franchises, such as Need for Speed and Mario Kart out.
