I have been on this site for 2 years and somehow I have managed to avoid getting any points at all. Admittedly I haven't finished any bounties and haven't logged any game completions (though I do have at least 100 under my belt). What other ways can one currently earn points? Can a futility achievement be added? I mean....two years without a single point should be an achievement of it's own, right? LOL

Seriously though, if the point system can be availed to me I would appreciate it.

I believe rating games, rating their difficulty, and adding completions all count towards points. Maybe stacks and blog entries as well? I thought that forum posts also counted towards it, but since you have 41 posts and zero points, I'm likely mistaken. I often am. I genuinely don't really pay attention to my score, so I have no idea what really counts towards that score and what doesn't. I believe that they're mostly there just to motivate folks to participate more.

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately it doesn't seem that completing games has any effect. I checked my library and found that I had already listed some of my games as having been completed. Perhaps the points have been disabled. It's not a huge deal or anything...just curious.

I believe you need to enter a completion date and/or completion time to get points awarded. You can't just use the checkbox to indicate "Finished" or "Completionated."

Thanks for your input, CarnuSaga. That definitely sounds reasonable though I have no idea when I originally beat some of these games. Some of them were beaten as far back as the late 70's or early 80's with quite a few sprinkled throughout the 90's and even as recent as last year. I kept no record of dates on any of them though.
