Description

This list contains the top 10 games I played in 2022. This is not exclusive to games released in 2022.

Super Mario Odyssey

Great game. Mario games are typically awesome and this game is no exception!

Murder House

Hadn't heard of this but was gifted it sometime in 2021. Finally got around to trying it out and had a blast. Short, sweet, and enough creep factor to keep you on your toes.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge

Nostalgia factor is strong here. New content is awesome. I honestly had a blast with this and hope we see something in the future that is just as fun and new.

Penumbra: Overture

Loved this game. Had this on the bucket list for a while to play and it didn't disappoint (for the most part). If it wasn't for the clunky combat, I probably would have pushed this a little higher.

Final Fantasy XV

Hadn't played a Final Fantasy in a few years and this game was pretty fun. Loved the characters, the more modern concepts, and the story was pretty fun. The only gripe I had was the side stuff really got overwhelming and sometimes cut into the story a bit too much.

DLC content was also a blast and glad I got play through those as well.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

I got this as a Christmas gift back in 2011 for the PS3 and had always wanted to play it. It finally landed in the PS Plus streaming library and I decided it was time to tackle it. Story was fantastic, artwork was great, and the game play was fun. Some of the platforming was pretty annoying and the camera left a lot to be desired, but still had a blast.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time

Classic game. Re-played this as part of the Cowabunga Collection and it was just as fun as the original bazillion times I played it.

Watch Dogs 2

I was torn between which of the two Watch Dog games I liked better but I believe this edged out 1 by a smidge. Better story, better environment, side quests were a lot more fun, and I liked the antagonist a bit more in it as well. The only thing that was a little unbelievable was that the main character was a REALLY nice guy and I couldn't buy he was able to harm and kill people without much remorse.

Trials of Mana (2020)

Didn't care for the original but loved this version. I played through all the characters and saw all the content I think was there to see. Hoping to get to play other Mana games someday.

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon

Nice old school metroidvania type game with some nice throwbacks. Difficulty is there but nothing that really makes things too bad. Enjoyed this and the sequel quite a bit.
