Description

My favorite games that I played in 2022!

Transistor

Supergiant Games never disappoints. The soundtrack is one of my favorites, the visuals and the aesthetic of the game are great. If there's one thing I'd change about this game is making it longer.

Subnautica

Started multiple playthroughs in the past, but never managed to finish them out of thalassophobia that this game gave me. But I completed it this year, and now I miss it.

Inscryption

I had no clue what this game was about but I have a friend that was recommending it to me. Now I am the friend recommending it to others. The atmosphere is amazing, and the gameplay remains fun throughout the entire experience.

Grand Theft Auto V

Started playing story mode because I felt like crashing a few cars and doing a few hilarious stunts, but I was very quickly engrossed by the storyline and the characters in this game. This was one of the most fun experiences I've ever had. It's a shame that people don't recommend this game's story mode that often as it is definitely worth it.

Portal 2

I love watching the robots bicker :]

6

Factorio

Continuing my downward spiral into insanity as I play literally any management/simulator game on the planet, Factorio is one of the most fun ones. Automating tasks and continuously optimizing your setup is at the core of the game and I love it.

7

The Witcher III: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition

Great storyline and some of the best DLCs in any game I've ever played. Gear progression is fun, but kind of monotonous after a while. However the witcher gear sets are usually the only ones that look good, so if you don't want Geralt to waddle around like a clown you'll mostly aim to get those.

8

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

An great sequel to the first Ori game. Satisfying to play through, with a fun Hollow Knight-like sigil system.

Portal (2007)

Listening to GladOS' dialogue is the most entertaining part of the game. Puzzles were pretty cool too but hard at times.
