God of War: Ragnarok

This game is the definition of a 10/10 experience. From the story to the characters, graphics, music, gameplay...Everything is just pure perfection, and I am stoked to try out the new DLC.

Pikmin 4

This game can be either one of the easiest or hardest experiences, depending on whether you want to go for full platinums. I went for full platinums. There is a shocking amount to do in this game, too.

Nioh 2: Complete Edition

I don't know if this game was just much easier than its predecessor, or if I'm finally getting good at these types of games. There were multiple times that I beat bosses on the first try. That's not to say that this game wasn't an absolute blast to play, though.

Horizon II: Forbidden West

Holy crap, this game was huge. And it built off the story of the first game in a major way. The game is super polished, and a delight to play. Except for the arena, which can go to hell.

Zero Escape: The Nonary Games

This was actually a recommendation from a friend saying this is their favorite game. It's a very unique experience. Imagine those "escape room" flash games mixed with a visual novel. You have to beat every single path to see the true story, and in a rare situation here, it's actually WORTH it to see that true story play out. Full recommend and can't wait to try out its sequel.

A Way Out

This might just be the perfect co-op game. Imagine playing Shawshank Redemption on the couch with someone. My fiancé and I had a blast playing this together, and literally my only complaint is that you'll finish the game in about 4 hours.

XCOM: Chimera Squad

This game needs more love, and I'm sad nobody talks about it. I didn't even know it existed until this year. Sure, it's a little less customizable, but they have a great cast of characters with new abilities, a cool story, and a new "breach mode" where you're the one going on the offensive. That was often my favorite part of the game.

Danganronpa 1-2 Reload

You ever play Phoenix Wright? This is that, except with high schoolers and a far darker theme. But the story has so many twists and turns and the trials to find the killer are incredibly interactive. That part may actually be done better than Phoenix Wright. What is not done better is that the games always shift to "the bigger story" going on, and that part is...not well thought out or written to say the least.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

In a weird twist, they decided to make a Souls-esque Star Wars game? But...it kinda works! I mean, the gear you get literally never changes (you can change to color of your poncho, and that's it. Hopefully the sequel fixed that to allow customization. But the story is decent and the gameplay is pretty fluid.

Stray

This game was just cute from beginning to end. Honestly, I had more fun just fucking around with the NPCs as a cat compared to actually doing the main story. And the developers seemed to know that, so I applaud them. You'll only be playing this game for about 5 hours if you screw around. So if you get this one for a decent price, check it out!
