SleepyFantasy's Completed Games
Description
These are the titles I have beaten but don't own, for my personal reference. I may have owned them at some point, but perhaps lost or sold to GameStop in my youth, lol.
This stack began as I was bored, looking for a game to play one night, when I got serious and thought about my so-called "backlog". I learned that a lot of the games I one day wanted to complete, I was no longer interested in, yet they still made me feel stressed that I hadn't dedicated time to beating them (read: the Zeigarnik effect). The ones in this list however are games that I'm happy I played and would like a place to fondly remember them, as my immediate memory can be kind of unreliable, eheh.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Can't remember when exactly I completed the game, but definitely enjoyed it and have lots of fond memories~ Was probably when I was 11 or 12 years old because I for sure played it on the original N64. Maybe one day I'll play it again, but the rereleases on newer platforms over the years didn't really appeal to me. It just isn't the same without that N64 controller with the C buttons!
I reunited with an old family friend over this game, and remember whining to my parents when he played for too long and I insisted it was my turn, haha. He went on to play the rest of the games in the series, but I think I tapped out around Twilight Princess in 2006.
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
This was the game that got me hooked into MGS~ I was late to play the first Metal Gear Solid game, so I wasn't quite attached to Solid Snake at the time. Raiden showing up as the main protagonist didn't bother me as much as other people, and I think he was a great addition to the series overall!
I also wasn't a big fan of stealth-action games like Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, which was popular at the time, but this game made it more accessible to players like me. Definitely recommend!
