Description

Gaming has never been really soft when it comes to talk about games that tend to attract some controversy but personally i feel like some games deserve more attention

i know i don't put many argumentation but i feel like these games are victims of either their reputation or some elements that were strongly criticized

Poppy Playtime

Why do people hate it ? Brainrot ain't the fault of the developers but greedy sociopaths whose only goal is manipulating children's brain into making the most money on their back.
Okay i recognize some riddles may be tiring and not very intuitive. However, the universe in itself makes me so nostalgic for a period i never knew... never a game managed to give me that feeling

The story and plot in themselves are awesome and way better explained than in most horror mascots. There should just be more originality as children are way overused in this category of game.

Super Mario Bros. 2

It's the special main episode of the saga as it doesn't take place in the mushroom kingdom nor flower kingdom. But honestly this game was way well built for its time. First of all, it introduced the characters' unique ability which in 1987 was a revolution. I played luigi on this game and i took pleasure in exploring the levels although never finished.
The only thing that may impair the interest is the mechanic that forces you to land on objects/ennemies head and then try not to fail throwing them. This can be frustrating sometimes but it is saved by its original boss fights.

Pokémon: Let's Go Eevee!

Oh no it's just a remake of the first pokemon games so it's gonna suck. Yeah gaming industry is overwhelmed by remakes and remasters but this one tried at least to give interest for first gen to younger audiences and it takes it all.
Capturing pokemons isn't frustrating as you just need to capture them like you had to do in pokémon go on mobile. Bye bye having to carefully attack without dealing too much damage.
Although the scenario remains pretty much basic, it is still a very good introduction to people who want to discover pokémon, it was my first pokémon game even beaten and i'm so proud of it.

Mario Party 8

How can i forget my first Mario Party Ever ? Maybe for older gamers who knew the franchise on nintendo 64, it may seem to lack originality but they didn't really get the interest of the game.
yes it's still the same base as the 7 previous main opus but take in account that every board was unique and no longer consisting of just turning around a board. Moreover, the minigames are well varied in terms of concepts like soda can, shooting at boos and i could talk about a plenty of them...
the musics are absolute masterpieces and i could listen to them till i die.

The Quarry

A spiritual sequel to until dawn with no longer taking place in a remote household but in a vacation camp that is suspected to be haunted by paranormal activies. The gameplay remains absoluletely the same : narrative choices so we like it or not. Depends on players taste i suppose.
Taking inspiration from 80's-90's horror movies, the game offers a funny array of characters that may look irritable but manage to give more interest into choosing who you may kill or spare because just trying to make sure that everyone survives isn't necesarily interesting.
Nonethless, the game takes some time to start becoming unnerving and that the real core of the plot begins to show itself.

For those who enjoyed Until Dawn and want to revive the same experience, this game can be your choice if you don't want to invest too much mental effort.
