Elden Ring

Finally got around to play this game and it was fun. Even though I am not a big "souls-like" fan but this game offered enough challenge and multiple ways to tackle a boss that I can confidently place this as first on this stack

Forza Horizon 5

I really liked Forza Horizon 4. This game offered a little more variation to PR stunts and more drifting challenges (which I like). Story never was anything to write home about but driving and taking in the scenery of Mexico did motivate me to drive all the things available. Of course the continued support of own tuning setups and community keeps this game at the second of this list.

Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition

I honestly liked more of the cramped and claustrophobic environments of the first two games. And the open world aspect really didn't bring more content to this game. However, Metro games are the few that have been able to keep me invested in the story and the survival aspect in these games are top notch. Not too overwhelming but still satisfying. And this was nice conclusion to the "trilogy" of Artyom saga.

Batman: Arkham Origins

I don't know why there is so much hate towards this game. Sure, the boss fights are pretty straightforward and boring. However, the story behind this and the origins of Batman kept me so invested that I had to collect all the extortion files so I could see where it all began. Combat was also pretty refined and fun and you could do pretty amazing combos and finishers. And the open world was big and detailed enough to be explored again and again. Only time will tell if I like the Arkham Knight as much as this.

Cyberpunk 2077

As a fan of open-world games, it is no wonder that this game ends up on this list. Story, scenery, atmosphere and combat works pretty well together. Cybernetics and augmentations bring nice flavor and alternative play styles instead of just "running and gunning". I also played phantom liberty which also helps this game the get its position here on this list.

Warlords Battlecry III

After many years and multiple playthroughs of the second entry of the series. I had to play the first and third installment. Now being a RTS in the 2000's the game works pretty much the same as Age Of Empires or Command & Conquer games. The nice twist is the hero which brings different kind of way to play this game. Now the story isn't anything to write home about but the management of troops and synchronicity between said troops brings replay value and experimentation. Sprites also are kind of unique and maybe a little goofy at times which brings uniqueness to this series.

7

Monster Hunter Wilds

Definitely play with friends. Never have I played MH before but this introduced me to pretty interesting series which brought many fun hours when playing with a group. Many different weapon types bring different playstyles to go through if you are willing and monsters unique weaknesses bring replay value.

Metro Awakening VR

My VR game library isn't that big. However, when I heard that Metro series was getting a VR installment, I had to get it. Now I was playing this game with quest 3 glasses and controllers and it was good enough playing experience. I have to agree that this game has the weakest story of the Metro games but it brought back the claustrophobic and dark atmosphere that I so liked. And now I can immerse myself fully with VR! Combat for the most part was good but at the end the arena style combat didn't sit well with me. But overall a good experience.

Touhou Spell Bubble

Fun rhythm and competitive arcade puzzle game.

Grim Fandango Remastered

One of Lucas-arts greatest point-and-click games. It was fun to play through with a friend.
