GOG apparently came out with a new thing called GOG Connect. What this does is let you register a Steam profile (only one, and the registration is permanent) with your GOG account and every eligible game you have on Steam will be registered on GOG too. Right now, only a limited number of games are available, and the system is either choking on a huge amount of demand or my huge Steam library. Get started here: http://www.gog.com/connect/ The list includes:
You also get any GOG extras that the games come with apparently.

Like most things GOG offers up, it's probably squashed by demand right now lol. But yeah, the massive Steam libraries some users have probably isn't helping either. One caveat about this whole thing is that games are only "GOG connectible" for a short period of time. I think each of the ones listed by Boffo97 are only available for five days. After that, it seems like other titles will cycle in. The connection of Steam account will also NOT automatically update to include newly added games. Instead you have to come back to the page regularly and refresh it to get new ones. At least, this is what their FAQ says. I can't test it myself because I can't get it to work at all at the moment :P. |

A lot of people are having a hard time getting their stuff to connect properly. gog said something about being limited to a number of steam api connections at a time, so once traffic dies down a bit it should be a bit easier to get this done. The other downside is that every game that becomes eligible for this is timed (the current batch of games to be linked is only up for the next 5 days), due to licensing and publisher nonsense. I hope they aren't planning on doing like 3-4 games every couple of weeks, I'll never pay attention enough to catch it during the time limit. edit: lol, marcus beat me to it :P

Yeah, I kind of wish it were an automatically updating thing myself. I'll probably end up checking back every day just to be sure. |

It took some time before it could go through, I've been refreshing every now and then since I found out about this and it only just now allowed me to add 9 of my steam games to my gog library. It sends you an e-mail receipt as if you bought the games, but has them all listed as "free" |

Yep, mine went through too... and I also had 9 games. :) |

Mine says "Looking for eligible games. Due to exceedingly high demand this may take up to several days, please check back later. Thank you for your patience." lol :(. |

Yep, I was just about to edit. It had recognized that I had 9 eligible games, but I didn't get the e-mail or have them added to my account and now I'm getting the same message as Marcus. I think GOG way underestimated how popular this was going to be. Hopefully it encourages Steam (or even other distribution platforms... looking at you, Origin) to reciprocate and more publishers to volunteer games for the process. If I have the GOG version, I get extras. If I have the Steam version, I might get cards. |

I just wanted to thank you for actually listing the games! As soon as I started trying to link my accounts, the list disappeared and it's not posted anywhere else. -.- I only had one game (bit.trip.runner), sadly... I thought I'd picked up Braid at some point, but apparently not. Ah well. Hopefully, since I had a successful connect earlier before it got stuck on "something went wrong, please try again," it'll just add the game later when it's not choking on unexpected demand.

Just tried it again today... and Surgeon Simulator 2013 is apparently one of the games in the service now. So I guess we have to check it every day. |

I'm not sure why they can't just keep your SteamID number on file and add accordingly. Maybe it's because of how much of a slog it is when everyone is attempting to validate their games? (Like is happening right now). In that case, they're trying to lessen the load by forcing folks to refresh themselves.... which will eventually decrease the userbase as most people will forget in a few days/weeks/months. :| |

There's been another update, apparently. I just noticed I have another game eligible (Defender's Quest) Not sure which games were added from the list that I don't have, so you'll have to see for yourself I guess. |

I got Door Kickers added to my list. Also, there's a game in there I don't recall from before: Kona. |

Looks like the first games have rotated out as only Defender's Quest, Door Kickers and Kona are available now for Connect. |

First off, thank you @boffo97 for sharing this (and the list of games)! I finally got around to doing this last night and I had 14 games. The receipt email I received said I saved $189.86, haha! I don't know that I'll ever use any of these, but I love having the flexibility and this only increases my extreme affection for GOG <3 |

I was shocked. I was just starting to think it was dead. I had the first 4 games in your list there and thus now have them on GOG. |

The list of games now available:
I personally added Broken Sword 2, Alien Shooter, Zombie Shooter, Risk of Rain and Frozen Synapse, all of which I think came from indie bundles.

A bit weird that they add the Witcher games to GoG Connect, don't the steam keys also work to activate a license on gog already? You'd think they'd be on the Connect list permanently. |
