I'm pretty pumped for Walking Dead Season 3...I really enjoyed season's 1 and 2 but I am really curious how season 3 will play as you had options for having 3 COMPLETELY different endings and I highly doubt they will have 3 different story lines for you to continue season 3 from.

I'm loving the custom controller color schemes idea for Xbox One. I hope Sony has something similar in store.

I'm also pleasantly surprised by the Prey reboot. I actually enjoyed the first one and wouldn't mind seeing a remastered version of it in advance of the reboot.

Prey was one of my favorite games back in the day, pretty stoked about this new one (even if it looks NOTHING like the original)

Sony freaking crushed their showcase in my opinion. They showed what I wanted to see: games

I'm very interested in PS VR, but it sold out almost immediately a few months ago. Definitely interested in the Crash Bandicoot remasters.

Sony really cleaned their presentation up quite a bit from years past. Seems like the last couple of years has been too long and has just been unwanted filler. This year was awesome because it was just pretty much back-to-back trailers.

My favorite announcement from Sony's conference....and I know this is going to sound crazy...but it was definitely Spider-Man...I feel like maybe, just MAYBE, Insomniac will do a solid game.

The other one that caught my eye was Days Gone. I wasn't really sold on it until I saw the gameplay that they did at the end of the conference.

As far as Crash - I just hope this leads them to do a new game for the series. I hope it sells well enough to send 'em a message.

Finally....That Kojima trailer....Um....what?

I'm very intrigued by Resident Evil VII. It looks like they're returning to the survival horror roots, which I've been hoping they would do for a long time now. They really lost me when the series became an action game. Again though, I'd like to play this with PS VR and that's not likely to happen at launch grumble, grumble

My favorite thing from Sony's conference was that there is an ACTUAL release date for the Last Guardian!! I had to change my slacks after I saw that...

@jwcooley, I too thought the Spiderman game looked REALLY promising...and I am not a God of War fan but I thought it looked really good and should please fans.

As far as PS VR, I too won't be getting that any time soon but its great that they are going to have 50 games for it by the end of the year. I also really liked the new Resident Evil VII logo...I thought it was pretty clever how they implemented the Roman Numerals.

I am just now crossing my fingers for Nintendo's conference today...I know they aren't showing much, but as long as Zelda looks promising I will be satisfied.

I know it's just "officially" getting underway, but has Sega said anything yet? Every year I hold out hope that they're going to open the archives to all (or at least some) of their glorious '90s games. Specifically things like Panzer Dragoon, Dragon Force, Shining Force III, Sega Rally....actually, the whole Saturn library. Let's go with that. And the Dreamcast. Let's get those too. wakes up

If I were a rich man, there'd be a whole lot of games being pre-ordered after that Sony conference...

As it stands, I can't wait until I can get a lot of these for good prices down the road, so many awesome looking games :D

Seeing that Resident Evil trailer is really making me want to play through that series again since I haven't played much RE after 3. I tried to play through 4 but I thought it got way too hard towards the end....

@Moho - we need a full gaming weekend where we play through these games....or well, a FEW full weekends haha

Hola folks, I'm actually at E3 this week. Is there anything you would like impressions on?

Some of the most interesting titles I played on Tuesday were Resident Evil VII (in VR), Detroit: Become Human, and Yooka Laylee. I saw The Last Guardian but the demo was 45 minutes long and I did not have that time to spend :P.

My thought about PSVR is that they really did not give any real reason to own one. Those who wanted one before still want it, and those who didn't still don't. I mean, it's not like they announced full Batman for VR or FFXIV either. It's just one-off "modes" or "experiences" to fuss around with once and then never go back to. As for RE, the demo didn't really compel me to desire the VR version over the standard console release.

50 games sounds like a lot, but the Rift had 30-50 at launch itself... but most of them were garbage. So, I want to hear a lot more about the QUALITY of experiences rather than just the quantity. All that said, I pre-ordered PSVR months ago. lol

Marcus you lucky son-of-a-gun!! Hope you are having a blast!!

Can you tell me more about Yooka Laylee?? As a huge fan of the Banjo-Kazooie series, can you tell me how your time with it was? If you have played the original two Banjo games, can you feel the connection between them?

I want to know more about Last Guardian as well if you can, even though you didn't get to play it :P

I would also be interested in hearing what you thought about Yooka Laylee. It's one of my most anticipated games and I was bummed to hear it wouldn't make it out this year :(

@Moho - I say we get together, start a game, work together, and get through them. I think we deserve to go through RE1 and RE2 twice....got to experience both characters paths! :)

And do we play the Cube version of 1? or the original? Or the Director's Cut? decisions...decisions...

I'd say Director's Cut...only because I'm MUCH more familiar with it than the remake :P Although at this point, I probably don't remember much of it hehe. It's been a good 15+ years since I played it. Man, we need to do this, I'm waaaay overdue for playing it again. I used to be able to finish the first one in just a few hours.

Another series I'd like to do a marathon-esque thing with is the Strike series. I've only actually finished Soviet Strike, but I have all of 'em. Well, I finished Future Cop LAPD, if you want to count that one (since it was originally supposed to be a part of the series).

Yooka-Laylee appears very much to be a N64 game wrapped in present day graphics. I played both Banjo Kazooie and its sequel and in some respects it looks nearly identical. Like, the character dialog pops up in nearly the same sort of overlaid text box with head making noises as the speech appears. The music by Grant Kirkhope also sounds honestly too similar to BK games, but hey, I guess that's the point.

Personally, I did not feel like the game is really doing something to "modernize" the formula of platformers that much. The team tried to explain why they are, but yeah, it just seems like a N64 platformer with souped up graphics. It's not as if they NEED to change. Many people are hoping for exactly that, after all. Some of the character designs seem a little disappointing...

I do not feel like it is a game which will overtake BK or Super Mario 64 as a beloved platformer for future generations, simply because it feels too derivative of those most popular works (Banjo Kazooie in particular) rather than really focusing on forging a new identity on its own merits.

As for the Last Guardian, I am not sure. That game is supposed to be out in October? There were some total frame rate hitches, obvious and common clipping issues, and in general the graphics didn't look very PS4. At least on the nice Sony screens they were using it seemed more like a stunning PS3 game (makes sense given the development history). It will be tough for them to delay again after they have "officially" revealed the release date, but I have a feeling that will happen - or people are gonna be mad with an unpolished release.

Your description of Yooka Laylee (that it's just an N64 game with prettier graphics) is EXACTLY what I wanted to hear :) Banjo-Kazooie is one of my favorite games of all time (regardless of genre), so having a new collect-a-thon game that's heavily inspired by it is LONG overdue!

Sounds like Yooka Laylee will be right up my alley as well!! A Hat in Time is another collect-a-thon I am looking forward to as well...was it at E3?

Dang man that's a little depressing about the Last Guardian but I appreciate the heads-up!!

Can you tell me anything about Tokyo Mirage Sessions (Wii U), Nintendo's new IP Ever Oasis, No Man's Sky (PS4), or Zero Time Dilemma as well?

Thanks again for the updates Marcus, you are the man!!
