After adding playing thru the first Zelda, I noticed a few items.

Legend of Zelda
Classic NES Series: Legend of Zelda
Zelda

are all the same game...

Noting that, isn't all the "Classic NES Series" games listed duplicates?

The last one, simply "Zelda" is the entry for the Game & Watch version of the game, which is definitely not the same as any of the Zelda games other than sharing the Zelda name.

As for the other two, the policy for a long while (might still be) was that if a game had different text on the box cover it would get it's own entry. There's been some work on the back end to better consolidate that sort of thing under one entry, so I don't know if this is a case where they'd get merged or not.

Hi!
If you add to a list Out of this World in European version, the cover changes well, but not the title. Always appears "Out of this World", and the correct title should be "Another World".
https://www.completionator.com/Game/Details/69

Can you fix it?
Thanks! :)

@zdv80 - Sorry, I meant to respond to you in the other thread, but I forgot Unfortunately, stacks do not pull in alternate names / box art because you don't select the platform and region. This is something I plan to add in the future though.

I said that because for example Operation Stealth/James Bond: The Stealth Affair works very well and changes cover and name depending the region:
https://www.completionator.com/Game/Details/51915

I have it in my list and correctly switches de European name, and shows "Operation Stealth"...
what's the difference with Another World? Is not the same case?
thanks! :)

When you say "list" are you referring to your Collection page or when adding it to a stack? I thought you had mentioned stack before, but maybe I'm getting confused

Nevertheless, PC version did NOT have an alias set for some reason (the other platforms did), but that should be fixed now. Hopefully that clears up the issue for ya.

Hi! I noticed both Sakura Wars and Sakura Wars 2 have duplicate entries. There's one labeled as Sakura Taisen (1996) and another as Sakura Taisen (2000), but they're the same game just on different systems, I don't believe there's any major difference between them to really have a separate entry as they're basically straight ports. The second game is the same way with one being Sakura Taisen 2 and another being Sakura Wars 2 (2000). Both the 2000 entries are just Dreamcast ports of the original Saturn games, and the other entries actually list Dreamcast as a system already. I think it'd be pretty safe to just delete the 2000 entries!

Sakura Taisen (1996): https://www.completionator.com/Game/Details/14050

Sakura Taisen 2: https://www.completionator.com/Game/Details/27872
Sakura Wars 2 (2000): https://www.completionator.com/Game/Details/27875

Thank you!

(I'm not sure this is the correct place to put this)
Quake 4 for Xbox 360 came in two variants: 1 produced by Bethesda, and 1 produced by Raven/ID
This matters because the one produced by Bethesda ONLY came with Quake 4. The one produced by Raven/ID actually came with a bonus disc that contains "The making of Quake 4" and Quake 2. I don't think pricecharting has separate entries, but I wondered if you had a way to handle this. Do you just add Quake 2 to the "contains" section of Quake 4? Or add a separate edition? Or make 2 separate entries for Quake 4? Just wondering your thoughts. Thanks!

Here are a few posts where people talk about it:

Hmm...that's a tough one. We generally don't treat bonus / unlockable games as part of a compilation, but this is a little different since it's not actually with the game, but rather a bonus disc. I'm leaning towards just adding a "Quake 4: Bonus Disc" entry, which is similar to things like this: https://www.completionator.com/Game/Details/46235

It wouldn't have anything to do with Quake II (aside from a mention in the description, perhaps), but could be added to collections like anything else.

Also, @Noxie, I forgot to mention post before, but I'm currently working through the Saturn and Dreamcast Japan releases, so those should get cleaned up while I'm in there

Price data for Turbografx-CD is weird. YS Book 1 & 2 is listed as having releases on TurboGrafx-CD and PS2, yet no data is available if I list it under TurboGrafix-CD. Data does come up for it if I list it under Turbografix-16, which it is not listed as having a release for.

I can't get Price Data to come up for Fighting Street, regardless of what I do.

Anyway it seems like price data is bugged.

Unfortunately, we do not have pricing integration for TurboGrafx CD configured yet. I posted a while back on the issue (which affects other platforms as well), in case you want some more details.

Finally got around to adding my finished games and found a couple listings that should be compilations but currently aren't.

  • Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection https://www.completionator.com/Game/Details/7150
Contains PSP 2D remakes of Final Fantasy IV and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years.

  • Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X https://www.completionator.com/Game/Details/22114
Also includes Tales of Phantasia: Cross Edition, which is similar to the Full Voice Edition on PSP but with new content. Narikiri Dungeon X is both the name of the compilation and one of the games, so I'm not quite sure how to handle that.

I also noticed that Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles is not a compilation, but I think that's because Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night are unlockables? It's been a long time since I've played it, so I can't remember clearly. If so, that would explain why it's a single title.

Thank you!

Cave Story (https://completionator.com/Game/Details/11729) and Cave Story+ (https://completionator.com/Game/Details/251) are both available on PC /Windows.

Furthermore, the Initial Release Date for both games is wrong. Cave Story should be 12/20/2004 and Cave Story+ should be 11/22/2011.

The Japanese and European versions of Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle 2 (https://www.completionator.com/Game/Details/3458) are incorrectly named. The Japanese version should be labelled as Mickey Mouse II and the European version should be labelled as Mickey Mouse.

Hello!

I keep noticing the Saturn version of Atelier Marie ( https://www.completionator.com/Game/Details/42414 ) keeps getting its name changed to Marie no Atelier, while no other version, or other Atelier games, get this change. It's really jarring, as with the change it means the game is not with the rest of the series at all on collection lists. "Atelier (insert name here)" is the accepted name format when not writing the name in Japanese, and it's used on Japanese logos and merch, as well. Heck, the spine and logo of the game itself says Atelier Marie. It's written as "(name) no Atelier" in Japanese but never otherwise, so I really think the name should be Atelier Marie, even though it's a Japanese only release. Atelier Marie is an accepted name even in Japan!

(To be clear, I have no issue with the subtitle being in Japanese as it is a Japanese only release, and the game was never localized, just the Atelier Marie part!)

I modified the title to display "Atelier Marie - etc..." for the main entry, but left an alias for "Alchemist Atelier Marie - etc..." so that searches would still turn up results if for some reason someone searched using the alchemist term.

Ideally, all the Atelier Marie games would get lumped under a unified entry, but I can sort of understand why the Saturn release gets it's own entry since it has unique content of it's own compared to the others. (minigames and such)

Thank you! Yeah, the other Atelier Plus games also have their own entries, and I personally think it works fine as it is, even though they're small differences, as I have a feeling some people might get confused if the entire series got suddenly merged. Especially with this Saturn release!

Personally I don't think the Alchemist part is necessary at all, as it's not part of the title. There's only one game in the entire series that does that, which is a separate game entirely and not a port or anything, which is Alchemist Marie & Elie https://www.completionator.com/Game/Details/42426 ! It's a spin-off game and not a main entry. I think the alt title would be better served with it being... Marie no Atelier if there is going to be one at all, haha. Atelier Marie is just definitely the "main" title and one people are most likely to look for.

I opted to alias it that way because the cover art for the Saturn version does have Alchemist in tiny text before the Atelier Marie. The word might not be common with the other releases, but I figured someone who isn't super familiar with the series might benefit from the accuracy if they're collecting Saturn games.

I've definitely struggled with how to name certain Japanese-only releases. Marie no Atelier for Saturn is a great example since websites seem to be split between what we have here and the English title. For example, GameFAQs, SegaRetro, and Satakore all list it as Atelier Marie Ver.1.3: Salburg no Renkinjutsushi.

I don't know if this would be the correct forum but Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition (https://www.completionator.com/Game/Details/39627)
contains four DLC episodes
Episode Gladiolus (https://www.completionator.com/Game/Details/36823),
Episode Prompto (https://www.completionator.com/Game/Details/36824),
Episode Ignis (https://www.completionator.com/Game/Details/36825), and
Comrades (https://www.completionator.com/Game/Details/37190).

On the DLCs' details pages, they all say found in Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition so I wanted to check if Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition could be added to the found in category of the DLCs.
