My name is Matt. I work in the Information Technology field. I specialize in Data Integration and SAP development. I regard myself as a casual gamer. I tend to play more in the winter months and spend more time outdoors in the summer. I also tend to focus on Nintendo products.

My name is Mike and I built Completionator as a hobby project. So even though I've been a software developer for the past 13 years, I still spend some of my free time writing more software :) This site sure spent a long time in development hell, but it's finally about to be released in the wild. I hope everyone enjoys using it and I encourage you to send me any and all feedback!

As for actual gaming goes, I try to balance the collector (i.e. nostalgia fiend) and the gamer in me, but it's tough. I have more games than I'll ever actually finish, but oh well, the collection aspect is part of the fun for me.

My name is Jeremy and I work at Humana as a Metrics Analyst. I enjoy playing video games and have built decent collection.

I enjoy single player and multi-player games. I am always a fan of trying to find games that are excellent on the co-op setting.

Hi, I'm Katrina. I'm a PhD student in Public Administration and Policy. Video games are my primary hobby while I'm off at school and game bundles are my weakness so I consequently have a quite a backlog to work through.

How did I miss this thread after frequenting this site for almost a year now?

I'm Dan, been gaming for about 30 years (I started really early!) I primarily do graphic design work and have been plugging away at a graphic novel for entirely too long.

I tend to play just about anything except for games where the focus is on PvP against strangers. It doesn't appeal to me to play multiplayer unless it's with people I know. As for the rest of the games I do play, I refuse to give up on a title until I've covered and mastered everything it has to offer me. As a result, my backlog is ridiculous. But that's okay, because collecting the games is half the fun!

Hey Katrina, welcome to the site, I hope you're enjoying it so far! Feel free to post any feedback you have while using the site, I'm always looking to improve it. I generally try to push out weekly updates and I try to get feedback from the community before embarking on a bigger feature, such as the bounties that were added over the weekend. So feel free to weigh in on that stuff as well!

Oh and hello Dan, welcome to the site 'n stuff :P

I also must add that I find it ironic that the dude who started this thread hasn't visited in like forever. If he would show up to basketball, I could get on him about it...

Hmm... looks like I missed this thread, too! :D

I'm Kris, formerly an administrative assistant type and currently working from home. I have a Bachelor's Degree in History (hence the not-working-in-my-field... ;), a husband, and three cats. I've been gaming for.... about 30 years, like Dan up there. I also started early. :) I go through phases with video games where I won't play any for a long time, then play them incessantly for months. PC games drew me back this last time, as most of our belongings are in storage while we wait on a move from southern to northern California. (Well... actually, they're in storage due to our move a year ago from Montana back home to California. But. They're staying there until this next move.)

I joined a couple weeks back, love the site.

Name's JD. I'm an accountant currently working as operations manager for a small company. Just like most people on this thread I'm a bundleholic. Gaming for about 22 years, also started early, and almost always been chiefly a PC gamer. Aside from games, I'm obsessed with horror, trash, and exploitation films. Got a wife and four cats, and an horrifically dry sense of humor.

Hey everyone, I'm Stevie.
New to the site, just finding my way around at the moment. Massive sonic the hedgehog and Sega fan. Collecting is my main passion and at the moment I am working on a complete GameCube PAL set :)

Hello and welcome! Always nice to see a fellow Sega fan around here :D Since you mentioned collecting PAL games, if you haven't done so already, you can change your default region to PAL on your account page. There are a number of other options there, as well as a bunch of menu items, links, buttons, etc, so let me know if you have any questions! Oh and if you find any games missing, feel free to post in this thread and I'll get 'em added. Enjoy!

Hey everyone! My name is Freya and I've been looking for a good way to catalogue my games and progress for a while, and I really like the way this site is set up. The organizational features and statistics are awesome!

I'm currently working as an Electronic Data Administrator for an insurance company, but I'm going to be going back to school part time for Marine Biology. I have way too many games that I haven't started and I was hoping that something like this will help motivate me to get through them. My favorite types of games are RPG, survival horror, and action/strategy. I just started Shadow of the Colossus yesterday, about 10 years late! I just remember being in awe of it while watching a friend play it for a few years ago. Favorites thus far have been Silent Hill, the Persona series, and Devil May Cry (OG).

Anyway, it's nice to meet everyone!

@Freyasaurus - Welcome to the site!

Shadow of the Colossus is a game that has been on my radar for some time but I've never played it. I've played ICO and had a blast, but SotC has always eluded me.

I'm a huge fan of the SH series as well. I think, so far, my favorite has been Silent Hill 2, but I did enjoy 1 and the re-visioning of 1 on the Wii.

Feel free to check out all what the forum has to offer. Gaming conversation is always awesome!

Huzzah, another Silent Hill fan! :)

It might not hold the same "wow" factor it did when it was a new game back in the ps2 era, but Shadow of the Colossus absolutely floored me back then. I wasn't able to put it down until I'd gone through the entire thing.

Oh, I didn't even introduce myself :/

My name is Marcel and have been playing games from the time my father bought a 8086 and brought home a floppy disk with digdug on it. Been gaming ever since on primarily PC but also on Commodore64, MUDs on VMS, Gamecube, Wii, XBox360, iOs, Android and PS4 recently. I work as a software engineer for a relatively small company doing all kinds of programming. As a father of 2 little girls it is hard to decide what to play from my way-too-large backlog so I often end up doing some casual stuff as you can easily walk away from it. I use Completionator to track my game collection and filter the stuff I want to play from the trash. I love trying out new stuff but it distracts me from the game(s) I play at the moment, so at this moment the biggest challenge is just completing a game :)

I never introduced myself either! XD

My name is Sean, but you can just call me AX. I'm a huge gamer, it's basically my main focus, but I also enjoy other things like skateboarding and playing music. I'm pretty avid in role-playing during my time in my gaming persona, so you might notice a bit of that bleed through every now and then. I like to absorb myself completely whatever it is gaming wise...immersion is a big thing for me so I like to make the most out of whatever project/experience I'm indulged in. I consider AX more than my gamer tag, it's my alter-ego! I think it just adds to all the fun of absorbing oneself in a gaming universe. I enjoy Completionator because of my odd obsession of logging everything I do accurately! I've come to realize that this place has a great community of folks who work really hard to keep things looking nice, so it's driven me to contribute more than I usually do on forums. I really enjoy meeting new people to game and be social with as well. I'm just naturally outgoing and enjoy a clean, fun experience with games.

It's my hope that I will conquer the ever-growing list of games currently in my back log, but the perilous journey is what matters...so I can't complain!

Hi folks, How goes it? Been gaming for many years, although we moved last month and I've been on a bit of a break while we get settled in. Big fan of RPGs.

Found this site while looking for a replacement for iTrackmine, which just shut down, and thought I'd give it a try.

Just found this :p
Hello! My name is Daniel and I love this website and its community! I'm a spanish guy in his last year of secundary education and I've been playing games since the beginning of the millenium. I love indie games, platformers, games with humor and dark games. I usually play on PC even though I love Nintendo games!
I've ended up here because I couldn't finish any game I started without starting another one before (due to steam sales) and because I love statistics!

Welcome Zaidel! Thanks for the add on Steam as well! Look forward to playing with you some time!

I'm glad you found and enjoy this website. I stumbled upon this place for more or less the same reasons. Hope you get the most out of all of the site's features!

Hi, I'm Samantha and I'm a medical office assistant/university student by day and an avid video gamer by night :'3

I don't know how I hadn't managed to find this site before, but the inherent planner/organiser in me is excited to be here. Haven't managed to add all the games in my collection just yet due to time constraints but I think it's awesome how customisable it is, from creating and tracking goals to posting little blurbs like a sort of mini blog in our profiles.

Honestly, it's been a long time since I've sat down and focused solely on gaming so I'd like to take this chance to get back to my roots (RPGs in general are my genre of choice, although I'm open to try anything that looks cool) as well as get to know some of you here in the community! I've always been a bit of a lone wolf but sometimes it's just nice to chill with your own kind, lol. Glad to be here!
