Wow... that was quick! Great job and I found just one thing : a mistake on the name of "Battle for Wesnoth" (here Wesnorth)
Everything else is perfect!
For the feedback I guess, it's better on a new post than here but you did almost all what I wanted before...

Good deal regarding the feedback!

And The Battle for Wesnoth should be fixed now :) I hadn't heard of it before, but it sounds very interesting (open source turn-based strategy), gonna have to check it out sometime.

I do agree, it's a great free open source game working on Linux, Windows or Max OS and very light. I used to play it on my netbook years ago, plenty of campaigns and hundreds of very interesting campaigns made by fans. Like all turn base game, it's perfect for playing session in transport (train/bus/plane). Have fun ;)

While you're playing holiday games, you should sign up for the bounty on Santa's Rampage ;) And by the way, Hatoful Boyfriend is on my list of games to play :P

Hello, there-- I'm back again, adding a few more games to my collection, and I have another to be added to the database when time allows: Konami Arcade Classics (PlayStation).

Thanks again in advance, and sincere wishes to everyone here for a happy and safe holiday season.

I'm at my grandparents' house for a few more weeks - they have DSL. Slooooooooooooooooooooooooow DSL. (We have 50 MBS at home. This is painful.) Between that and a new job, I'm not taking on bounties yet. I haven't even gotten to my pigeons, and they've been downloaded for days. :S

Hatoful Boyfriend is a surprisingly fun game, but you have to have a sense of humor; it's not meant to be taken seriously. Also, the real game doesn't start until you've unlocked all the regular endings, and it's completely different. Completely different. There's a surprising amount of worldbuilding in the background that you only get hints of, and between that and the humor, it won me over. :)

Here's a "How would you like to handle this" question.

Right now, Wing Commander 1, its 2 "Secret Missions" expansions, Wing Commander 2 and its 2 "Special Operations" expansions are treated by the system as 6 different games. GOG sells the two games and their expansions only as a bundle together, but then splits them off into Wing Commander and Wing Commander 2 in your library and the expansions go unmentioned.

I could go ahead and add the expansions, but I'd be hesitant to do that if they're going to be a combined pack someday.

My suggestion: Make a "Wing Commander 1 Complete" and "Wing Commander 2 Complete" entry bundling the proper games and expansions for each. Then when someone imports off of GOG, just have the system add the complete versions.

@boffo97 - That's a good catch! What happened here is GOG "unbundled" things a while back and I must have missed this one somehow. The import is supposed to handle things like this automatically. It was handling it using the bundled text value (Wing Commander 1+2 or something like that). I've updated it so it should now pick up the expansions based on the text GOG is using now.

As for creating new "Complete" entries, I've generally avoided that so far since different platforms can include different stuff in their releases (I've noticed it more with "Gold" releases). It gets especially tricky since some of these (especially in the late 90s / early 00s) had actual retail releases with these names and sometimes GOG matches up, sometimes it does not.

So basically the 2 games and 4 expansions will remain separate in the system, but importing from GoG will add them all then when it sees "Wing Commander 1+2"?

That works.

Yep, that's how it was set up before. I think now GOG has "Wing Commander" and "Wing Commander 2", so you end up importing two separate entries. Those were NOT set up to pull in the expansions, but now they are :)

Bought UmiharaKawase, UmiharaKawase Shun Steam Edition, and Sayonara UmiharaKawase before they were delisted for Steam and wanted to add them here. Actually, it seems no Umihara games are in the database at the moment?

I will come back with quite a list once there's finally time to get to adding in physical games... and digital stuff from Desura (RIP) and itch.io.

Edit: Here's one more since I beat it this week: Aviary Attorney.

Edit 2: After going through and adding games from # to A here are some more which I couldn't find in the database with a note to help with Googling in titles with very bland names (ex: Adventure):

1893: A World’s Fair Mystery
300 Great Games for Windows
6-Pak (Genesis)
688 Attack Sub
9 Months In
Abner the Amazing
Absolute Obedience
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin
Adventure (2600)
Adventure Collector’s Edition Volume 1 (Rhem 2, Scratches, Penumba Overture)
Aero Porter
Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures
AiRace Speed
Air-Sea Battle
Ai Yori Aoshi
Aliens vs Predator Gold Edition
Alone in the Park
Amazon Trail
Amazon Trail II
Ame no Marginal -Rain Marginal-
Amorous Professor Cherry
AMY
AnaCapri the Dream
Angelique Trois: Aizouhen
Ape Escape: On the Loose
Arcade Pinball (2600)
Area-X
Armored Warrior Iris
Art Camion Sugorokuden
Aselia the Eternal
Astroblast
Atari Anniversary Edition
Atari Anniversary Edition Redux

Here's some 360 games missing:

  • Happy Action Theater
  • Haunt
  • Kinect Party
  • Mars Rover Landing
  • Video Kinect

All are Kinect games. Kinect Party and Video Kinect are kind of dubiously games, but that's where the Xbox dashboard puts them.

@boffo97 - Those should all be added now! Kinect Party and Video Kinect are more of games than some of the stuff I've added for the 3DO :P

@Marcus - I've added most of the games you listed. I added pretty much everything, except for the various compilation games (Atari packs, Genesis 6-Pak, Adventure Collector's) and Arcade Pinball for the 2600. For some reason, I couldn't find Arcade Pinball when I looked earlier, but now I have it :P It will go in with the next load. The Atari games might take me a while because I need to verify that each of the sub-games are on the site and if not, add them. I have them on my "games to be added" list though, so I will not lose sight of them and I'll try to post here once they're added.

Also, did you mention you're porting your collection over from Backloggery? If you want to send me the link to your profile (either post here or use the feedback up top), I can start looking at your games from the bottom of the alphabet and try to add any games missing from the database before you get to them. I can't guarantee I'll catch everything before you get to it, but it might save some back and forth time. And just to clarify, I won't modify your collection whatsoever (so you can fill out the entries as needed), I'll just add missing games :)

Oh and I don't remember if I mentioned this to you before, but getting things to pull in VGPC pricing data does not happen automatically. I have to wire it up, so if you add these games and no prices show up, don't worry about it. They will once I wire 'em up, you won't need to edit / re-add or anything.

Thank you about adding in the titles!

Yeah, I'm looking over my Backloggery list since that's the only place I have a current collection list that is basically complete. Here's a link to my page: backloggery.com/masteroftheclaw

I find this to be super nice of you to be doing! It will definitely help ease the process of me adding my collection here. Most of my collection is full of regular 'ol games, but there are a handful of imports and eroge so those will probably be the ones needing to be added most often. Thanks for your help!

Ah, I did not know that about how the VGPC functionality works on the site. Even so, it's super handy. The only other site I ever saw really do collection pricing (back in the day) was GameSpot. However, they just had a default price for a game (say $50) and that's what it was always worth. Ick. VGPC is a much better way to handle this, especially with the ability to pull between new and used/loose. Even if it's not automatically added with each entry, it will be worth the wait. :)

Some B games:
Babyz
Bagasaurus (Apple II)
Ballblazer (7800)
Bam Boom (Apple II)
Banana Peel
Barbara-ian
Barbie Beach Vacation
Barbie Storymaker
Barn Runner: The Rich Dame Who Cut the Cheese
Barrow Hill: Curse of the Ancient Circle
Basketball (2600)
Battle Beast
Battle: Los Angeles

Impressive list Marcus...
I got just 3 games I can't find :
Bahamut Lagoon (SNES 1996)
Terra Battle (android / IOS, maybe the most impressive game on mobile device, music, story, gameplay, gamedesign... )
Zelda picross (available online, relaxing)
The Interactive Adventures of Dog Mendonça & Pizzaboy (kickstarter 2016)

For the last game, it's not available for now but with all these games coming from Kickstarter and wich take so long to be released, would it be possible to have them here with a "coming soon" feature ? It's hard to remember contributions made few years ago and there are so many interesting projects...

@Elfenix - Those have all been added! Once we get all of the release dates loaded for games, I could see a coming soon feature being useful. I try to add new console (and sometimes Steam) releases shortly before they're released, just to stay on top of as much as I can.

@Marcus - Sorry, I missed your update for the "B" games, so I didn't get all of them loaded tonight. I did start going through your Backloggery collection and added probably 20-30 games that were missing, so I'll keep doing that to help cut down on the missing ones :) As for the "B's", I loaded about a third of the list and I'll work on the rest for the next load. I couldn't seem to find box art for a few, so I was hoping you could point me in the right direction:

  • Bam Boom (Apple II)
  • Banana Peel
  • Ben Chandler, Paranormal Investigator - In Search of the Sweets Tin
  • Between Earth and the End of Time

Also, I think Beyond Atlantis is currently loaded as "Atlantis II". Does anyone know if there were regional differences or are they truly the same game? I don't mind loading a separate entry, or I could rename this one to Beyond Atlantis. I generally use the North American release name anyways, so it should probably be Beyond Atlantis anyways. I think I loaded it as Atlantis II since that's what the digital stores had it as.

@moho: It seems both Bam Boom and Banana Peel are Apple II games lost to time (honestly, a lot of Apple II games are like this). I can look through my collection but believe I just have floppy discs, not any cover or insert page for them.

Ben Chandler doesn't appear to have any official "boxart" designed. There are a few screenshots here though: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=44671.0

Here's Between Earth and the End of Time: http://www.cdaccess.com/gifs/shared/front/large/betearth.jpg

As for Beyond Atlantis/Atlantis II, my version is NTSC and called "Beyond Atlantis." But yeah they are the same game aside from the original name difference between regions w/ physical copies. I wonder why they renamed Atlantis II for digital releases regardless of region. :P

C GAMES:
Cabela’s Big Game Hunter (1995 PC)
Caesars World of Gambling (CDi)
Cap’n Crunch’s Crunchling Adventure
Card Captor Sakura Tomoyo’s Video Operation D Drea (this one has multiple translations, but anyway, it's a JPN-only Dreamcast game).
Cardinal Quest
Carrotting Brain
Castles in the Sky (PC)
Cat Dog: Quest for the Golden Hydrant
Catechumen
Championship Golf (Apple II)
Championship Soccer (2600)
Chex Quest
Chicken Blaster
Clannad
CMYM
Codebreaker (2600)
College Football’s National Championship (Genesis)
Come See Me Tonight
Come See Me Tonight 2
Coming Out on Top
Computer Chess (Atari 8 bit)
Corpse Party (PSP)
Crescendo
Crimson Shroud
